Choosing the Right Littlebend Configuration for Your RF Setup
Posted by HASCO RF on 30th Oct 2026

A cable assembly can match your equipment’s connector yet still be difficult to fit. Closely spaced ports, enclosure walls and nearby components shape the route between connection points. A separate right-angle adapter may solve a direction change, but adds another component and mated interface.
Littlebend ultra-flexible RF cable assemblies offer another routing option. Their construction allows bending near the connector joint, which can help in confined spaces when the selected assembly and permitted bend path suit the design. Start by matching the cable family, interfaces and finished length to the application.
Use this guide to compare HLB098, HLB055 and armored HLB055A options and prepare a configuration-specific quote request for HASCO.

Start with the interfaces and operating band
Identify the connector type and gender at each end. Include the instrument port, device under test or mating component so the complete connection path can be reviewed. Connector names alone do not establish finished-assembly performance.
Specify the operating frequency range and any insertion-loss or VSWR requirements. Connector pairing, cable construction and length all affect the selection. Review published information for the actual configuration, and ask HASCO to clarify any requirements the listing does not address.

These families offer distinct configurations, not interchangeable solutions. Include an existing part number if it meets your needs. Otherwise, describe the required interfaces and application so HASCO can review alternatives.
Check the installed route before choosing a length
Measure the intended cable path, allowing for connector orientation and clearance around nearby components. State whether the assembly will stay installed or be repositioned during use; static and repeatedly moved connections can have different routing needs.
Review the selected assembly’s minimum bend radius and handling guidance. Do not choose the shortest cable if it would force an unsuitable bend. If Littlebend could replace a separate right-angle adapter, check both the available space and the resulting connection path. Suitability depends on your geometry; it is not a universal adapter replacement.
Use the product resources to narrow the options
HASCO’s Littlebend resource page brings together series information and selection materials. Compare family options and interfaces there, then review the listing for the specific assembly. Use the selection guide for additional technical detail.
Lengths and connector pairings vary by series and part number. If your configuration is not listed, include the required length and pairing in your inquiry. HASCO can review standard or custom options. Confirm pricing, availability and delivery timing for the quoted configuration.
Send the details that make a quote useful
Include the following in your quote request:
- Littlebend series or part number, if known
- Connector type and gender at each end
- Operating frequency and required electrical limits
- Finished length and quantity
- Routing constraints and armor requirements
- A drawing or requirements document, if helpful
For example, a test-fixture inquiry could describe both mating interfaces, the required path length, whether the cable stays installed or moves during testing, and the build quantity. These requirements give HASCO a defined configuration to review without assuming suitability from a general description.
